Seems like a no brainer to me to pound them until they could prove they could stop us.
I didn't like the game plan and I didn't like the empty sets. I don't really recall Goff ever thriving out of empty sets but I don't have the research in front of me just going by memory.
The only benefit of this is the rams are going to come back focused against the Seahawks which is a much bigger game
Bout threw the remote through the TV when he did that
Had a chance to run the ball down there with a timeout in our pocket and he goes and calls a time out ...I'm like WTF!!!????
Yeah...I was thinking the same thing. I'd need to see the play clock again, but...if memory serves me, the Rams broke the huddle with an empty backfield. Knowing the problems we had earlier in the half with the Dolphins sending pressure, I'm thinking that McVay may have been watching to see if Goff checked out of the play. Again, I don't recall where they were at with respect to the play clock, but I'm beginning to think that McVay suspected that Goff was going to push ahead with the empty backfield play. Fearing ANOTHER bad outcome, he called the TO. Don't even remember the formation coming out of it.
This game reinforces my belief that, even in year 5, Goff still needs ALOT of hand-holding and we may be seeing it in the form of ill-timed TO's.
