In the same vein as passer rating looking at a pff grades remember its a super small sample game to game. Goff had three turnover worthy plays vs the bears. That's alot. And on the flip side he didnt get any big time throws or the +2 grade to the 3 -2 turnover worthy throws.
Without the opportunities to hit those big time throws--think Russ' moon balls--Goff is never really going to a well graded Qb per pff. Also, with the yac offense his grade is going to be independent of anything that happens after the catch.
I like pff grades but over a larger sample size like 6 plus games.
