The training wheels are off for Goff it's sink or swim this year. I feel he has played great and controlled this year. Has he looked dynamic not so much, but overall he has played really solid. I don't see Goff as a superstar player that can make those around him better. It's the opposite he needs those around him to step up or looks average. I agree the nfc championship game was big game for him he stepped up under the most pressure and performed. So did john johnson and Greg the leg to seal that game. Goff made some big throws at the end under pressure to higbee it was a great game. Statistically he was average going 25-40 297 1 td 1 int but he made the plays when needed and that's what counts. But what happened the next game?
What was his breakout game last year? He looked good against the cards and bengals which were among the worst teams last year.
Look I'm a rams fan and goff fan but I call it like I see it he has to get better. And so far this year he has looked better and more consistent but he needs to maintain that over the course of the year. I want Goff to be great and hope he can but so far he is good and I can deal with that.
just pointing out the Goff has indeed done what you say he hasn't done ...that wasn't the only time he's done that either..Bills game is another example of putting the team on his back ...the QB is always going to get too much blame or credit, but the reality is football is the ultimate team sport.Brady isn't considered the GOAT without Bill and his defense
Goff is well ahead of where QB's like Brees, Rodgers, Warner etc where at the age of 25
Not saying Goff is at any of those QB's level right now, but he is further ahead and accomplished more than most QB's have at age 25
He's not Mahomes or LJ, but he is better from the pocket than most QB's his age....cant wait to se how much better he will be when he is an old vet at 28
