and
lukewarm at that!
I dunno....we'll see if Snead can dig up a more proven talent that might have a few years left of a decent contract and is still young enough...a guy like Fowler from ATL
(I'm joking...NOT!...sry fellas, but I liked his game alot - even if he didn't get home he made the QB nervous).
Snead might do a #1 pick in 2022
kinda thang for a guy
(ie Cooks, Fowler, Ramsey, etc) with a few years left that they can re-sign in a few...now that the Rams have demonstrated that they lock up players that commit to the team and play hard. I would think a player would trust the FO and playout his existing last few years and NEED to flash big-time to get the money he wants.
That strategy has worked few times now for Snead and allowed us rent some decent players that helped us get to the SB a few years ago. It might be worth looking into again...ESPECIALLY, if the team is looking very strong & primed for a play-off run. Game 8 is the deadline...so we'll see how it goes. We DO have some trade bait whether Reynolds, Everett, or....gulp....even JJ IF the kids behind him grow fast enough to get more reps. If JJ is involved it'd be for a very proven EDGE player for JJ and a high draft pick prolly!...
just
spitballin.....don't kill the
spitter!
