Big Ben, Russell Wilson, and Joe Flacco come to mind.
I am looking at Aaron Donald along the lines of the greatest player ever I am betting there are some who can think of some outstanding and most impactful players but now days its a popularity game as well and AD oozes with the game and presence to evoke such subjective expressions but yet we have only been to 1 SB in his era.
Everyone feels "Mahomey" deservesit all (now) but he is not the first QB to have early success and will not be the last. This is still a team sport and as marketable as that face is, that face is it does not mean he will have the long term on the field success that those guys have had and Joe Flacco is all but ignored for his past glories.
This is a fickle world and I really think that the contract doesn't make you successful. Even Legendary accomplishments can be far and few in between. Joe Namath was legendary but he never impacted the Rams.
Patrick Mahomes is a top talent but having that at QB will get you only so far. Longevity is the arbiter and it will have its final say IMO. Andy Reid was close and is in the top 3 coaches in the game today. I don't think Mahomes wins his first SB with a lesser coach.
