While that is true it doesn't impact the calculation I did since 2021 isn't part of Mahomes' 10 year extension. The extension covers the years 2022 thru 2031.

If the NFL plays this season without fans the cap for 2021 could well be in the $175M to $185M range instead of the $215M shown on overthecap.com. But if 2021 season is back to normal then the cap estimate for 2022 would still be $227.5M, and the rest of the equation holds true.
