2 (52) Patrick Queen, LB, LSU- steps in day one for Littleton
3 (84) Darrell Taylor, EDGE, Tennessee- rotational player in 2020 w/ Floyd, Ebukam with potential to start in 2021
3 (104) Van Jefferson, WR, Florida- wanted to take an interior OL here but none were available good for their zone scheme; 'best value' pick; love his route running. WR3 in 2021.
4 (126) K'Von Wallace, S, Clemson- replaces Christian in sub packages. Special teams standout.
Patrick Queen is going to be the 2nd or 3rd LBer off the board after Simmons from Clemson and maybe Murray from Okla. I don't see any scenario where he makes it to 52. But if he did, he'd be a HR pick.
Darrell Taylor is a boom/bust style as he has only shown glimpses of what he can become, he is far from a finished product, but the tools are there.
If Van Jefferson is there in the late 3rd, he'd be a monster steal. And he is exactly what McVay loves in a WR. One of the top 2 route runners in the class and loves to compete. Not a burner, but has enough to threaten deep.
Wallace is interesting because I have seen some mocks with him going to the Rams, not sure S in the top 4 picks is in the plans, but I'd have no issues. The 2nd 3rd round pick or 4th round pick is where I would grab my LG. Bredeson or Stenberg or Muti or even Hunt.
I have no issues with this, but at some point the Rams need a 3rd RB. And I wouldn't wait until the 5th round.
