Well I dunno, how bad does your OL have to be in a superbowl and still be "better"? Part of the problem was that the defense knew it could attack Sullivan and Blythe as weak spots.
The OL was not a strength in the superbowl. It was also not the only problem.
And yeah the OL struggled in the first half of the 2019 season (and like in 2018 it was not the only problem). But then it did reasonably well in the 2nd half, especially considering it was starting 3 injury replacements, all 3 without prior playing experience and 2 rookies among them.
I would say THAT OL--ie. 2019's 2nd OL--did better against SF's strong defensive front than 2018's OL did against the Patz.
