Losing Saffold didn't help, absolutely.
Losing Sullivan? Sullivan was already a liability by the end of the season.
Did NB and Allen have problems? Yes. Though the team has said NB was improving.
Were they the SOLE problems?
No.
Both OTs regressed. At least AW got it back together by the time they were starting the 3 injury replacements. But AW himself was an issue for a while there. That was the most penalties by him in one year in his career, including 9 holding penalties. He was struggling to start the season relative to what he was before.
My theory has always been, you can play 2 newbies inside if both veteran OTs hold up, and they didn't.
Forget about sacks btw. According to one stat I saw the Rams were among the top 3 in passes where the qb was just throwing the ball away. The way the season worked, when the Rams gave up 8 or more pressures, they went 2-6. When they gave up 7 or fewer pressures, they went 7-1.
Then there were the running game issues, which IMO included both the OL and Gurley not being his old self.
