He was as bad as any Ram linemen during that time frame and was a major factor in their poor performance. Combining that with the fact that Havs was maybe the WORST OT in all of football (Bottom 5 for sure), you just can't ignore their terrible play as not being a major factor in the terrible line play.
Yes, AW's play steadied itself in the second half, although penalties were still a big problem, but there is just no way that equaled anywhere near his play throughout his likely HOF career.

There's a tendency for many to put this all on the 2 newbies at the start of the season but that just does not hold up.
Part of it, as I said myself many times, was--as you point out--the 2 OTs regressed to start the season.
