When AW mentions Saffold and Sullivan he's specifically talking about run blocking too. He isn't defending Sullivan as playing well overall and not being replaceable. This whole thread seems to be a strawman argument.
Exactly.....I don't know what is so hard to believe or disagree with
Okay, so for you, Sullivan in the 2nd half of 2018 was a plus in terms of run blocking, was not an exploitable weakness, and was not replaceable?
In spite of the fact that teams that did attack Sullivan saw him as a liability (and they were right) and when they did so they DID shut down the running game?
And Blythe in the 2nd half of 2019, in spite of being younger, did replace a worn out Sullivan and play on a line that did better than it did toward the end of 2018,
I don't see what there is to AGREE with in what AW says about Sullivan.
And you won't be able to make a case that defends it either. Not if you want to use facts.
But hey a player spoke so echo it (unless of course it's Ramsey or a list of others I could name, but you know what I mean, agree with players except when you don't.)
