First of all if my son had signed a 47 mil contract , I don't think I would be able to convnice him not to play.
He already signed the contract. He doesn't have to give back the guaranteed money back if he is injured and can't play.
On that basis, I think he, and the team for that matter, would have some interest in not going over doctor's recommendations if it would cause a lifelong injury.
