What if it were your son, or yourself, with the arthritic knee Ram RB instead of Todd Gurley?
And that the team doctors had recommended managed snaps OR you would risk losing games or even the loss of the season? Maybe even require a cane in your later life?
Now...
And please be honest...
Would you still send your son (or yourself) out there behind that mishmash OL in the hope of possibly winning that Steeler game?
The risk/reward scales would be insanely imbalanced.
Sorry 43, this makes no sense....if my son just signed a $47M deal to play football and has to use a cane later in life, I'm sure he'd be ok with that....
So those same doctors let him run it 18 times on artificial turf in a blowout win, but can't let him run it 18 times on natural grass when he's having his best day in over a year and doesn't even take a snap as a decoy the entire 4th qtr in a close game where we could have used him?
Sounds to me like there is more to this story than the "part of the rotation" story they're going with.
Firstly, don’t confuse snaps with runs. They are two very different things. I suspect that Gurley is on a snap count.
Secondly, are you saying that you would want your son to defy the doctors advice?
All due respect, but I call Bulls**t.
