This is where you lose me....you don't want to compare him to Mahomes but you'd rather sandwich him between Dalton and Darnold cuz his completion percentage. Which we already agreed and is known as being one of the most overrated stats. Just pointing out that Andy Ried is one hell of a QB guru as you can see by how he had Matt Moore ready to go and has made many good QB's great.
Just win, I could care less if his QB rating and completion percentages are down, I think it's pretty clear when the o-line is the worst rated line in the NFL according to PFF, it is going to effect the QB...it's pretty simple.
You've already made your stance known about Goff, so let's just agree to disagree I'm done. I'm not gonna convince you and you are not going to convince me.
Because statistically, I placed him where he actually is. You tried to make a point about completion % being overrated but when in context, Goff simply isn't one of the better QB's in that regard. Ignore it or disregard it if you like but it's one of the reasons that some people are disappointed and frustrated with Goff.
And it's a valid criticism of him. I'm not sandwiching him between Dalton and Darnold, Goff IS right between those two. That's the point. I think it helps illustrate just how much he's been struggling and how inconsistent he's been with his accuracy when that is the level he is statistically comparable to.
Think of how you perceive Andy Dalton and Sam Darnold in terms of accuracy and that's how someone not wearing Rams tinted glasses actually views Goff.
Worse than that, statistically Goff is basically producing like Dalton. I mean, that should be a huge slap to the face of one's reality. Goff and Dalton are statistically comparable. Now, just think about how many people out there would take the argument that Dalton is a Super Bowl caliber QB.
