Ask ourselves this question.
What has changed for Goff between the ‘18 and ‘19 seasons?
It’s the play of the danged OL!
The OL has affected Goff, Gurley/Brown/Henderson, and has affected McVay’s play calling options. Huge miscalculations were made by the FO and coaches re our current OL prospects. Almost unforgivable for a SB worthy team.
It really ticks me off to think that we may now be 2 OL players away from another good shot at a SB this year.
Fix this OL and we will be amazed at how well the rest of our O improves.
The End.
I look at what Cousins was doing in Washington. Those teams didn't have particularly stellar line play or running games or even a great receiving corps. But his numbers didn't drop through the floor. Goff has statistically been one of the worst QB's in the league for almost a year now. He is a part of the problem.
He is clearly not showing himself to be in the Rodgers, Mahommes, etc. conversation and more in the Stafford conversation. Give him elite talent and ideal situations and he can put up numbers. But take a piece away or put him under pressure? No, I wouldn't say the concerns about him are unfounded or overthought.
C’mon. Mokler. ‘One of the worst QB’s in the league”? Seriously?
Doesn’t pass either the laugh or the eyeball test, man.
