The truth is you just believe in him more than me and that’s ok. I’m never going to come after you for that
But I do want to be clear - I have seen this guy throw dimes before. Especially when he has time. Been there done that. A lot of good QBs can throw dimes when they have that kind of time. I mean a lot of them
I just don’t believe when he plays against good defenses and things aren’t as easy as they were today and last week that he is very good. In fact he reminds a lot of Dalton just with more weapons.
Going into 2018 I was very much saying he appeared to be turning into a top 10 QB and it would be a natural progression for him based his 2017 performance. Then with his finish last year I saw all kinds of red flags. This year I made the argument that he appeared to be a top 15 QB but I had questions. People came after me on that big time
What do I see now? I see a guy that can be good but is more in the 20 range. He can absolutely kill you when he’s not pressured and statically plays well against poor teams. I just don’t love him man and it has to do with what I see on the field.
It’s not personal but I wanted to give you some detail. I shared some of that same detail with dzram in the off-season but wasn’t ready to go public with it because I wasn’t certain. I needed to see this year. Well 8 games in I’ve seen enough
He’s just too limited IMO and could they win a SB with him? Maybe but only with a dominant defense and run game
