I was having a conversation with a friend back in the UK about Goff and Wentz and I could remember that the pundits thought that one or the other was more ready to start from day one.
I *thought* it was Wentz as he'd played more games, but I'm not sure that's right now.
I know you guys will know though!
Wentz played in a pro system in college.
Goff was in a version of the Air Raid offense. In the history of Air Raid qbs, he's the first ever to reach franchise status. Air Raid offenses put qbs behind when they get to the pros. In fact before Goff, Air Raid qbs drafted in the pros amounted to a long line of busts. Until very recently, no Air Raid qb ever played well in their rookie year (as of right now only one ever has). Goff was typical of Air Raid qbs adjusting to the NFL.
