I don’t wonder why the name calling and neither should you. It’s because fans are fanatical about their team, get defensive, and lash out. It’s the nature of the beast.
Yeah, Goff has to get more consistent, but why wouldn’t that be expected from a 24 year old QB? And why wouldn’t intelligent media guys understand that?
Since when do national media guys line up with the expectations of local fans? The real issue for us is to not care about it. Why aren't national media types as knowledgeable about the Rams as we are? Because they cover 32 teams and do not know any single one of them as well as we know the Rams. Don't you remember what it was like in 99? Deep into the season, the national media was saying things that made no sense if you REALLY watched and followed the team. But then the question is, why would we expect anything different? And it's not because they're as a group incompetent, or clickbaiting, or delusional, or any of that. It's because---again---no national media guy knows as much about ANY of the 32 teams they cover as we know about the Rams.
Well, maybe. But I don’t cut them any slack. And neither did VinnyB in his latest article. He basically called Florio an idiot.
What VB actually said was:

The level of absurdity is almost too phenomenal to take seriously.
But it’s also seeped too deeply into public consciousness to let go without comment.
Notice that last bit. VB is saying, it's a surprisingly common perception.
Either way I simply don't defend Florio's remarks. They;re wrong. Look at my first post in this thread: [
ramsrule.com]
That post says everything I have to say about the idea that the Rams will consider moving on from Goff.
I just made a minor comment or 2 about the fact that MF is just wrong but that doesn't mean he's a deliberate provocateur on this. Naw, he's just wrong, without a conspiracy in addition to being wrong, And, unsurprisingly I suppose, I then had to defend saying that.
