Rampage2K-
The same people who you find out there with doubts about Goff are probably the same people who were calling him a bust after his rookie year with Fisher......they're just hoping they don't look as stupid if he somehow flames out.
There are so many stories in the NFL, it is far more than just Goff. So the percentage of people fretting because underestimating Goff "might make them look stupid" is probably negligible. I doubt most non-Rams fans give a hoot one way or another. There will be no chorus in the future of razzers pointing at different sports media types going "shut up! you were wrong about JARED GOFF!" I doubt most people will notice or care. Goff will be a "oh, hey, looks like I was wrong about Goff" story, and nothing more than that.
The idea that anyone is worried about any of this is just a Rams fan fantasy.
As much as he is OUR qb, he is not this huge national story. Media careers won't be made or broken based on what happens over the years with him.
still don't see how that has anything to do with the price of rice in China???
Nobody's talking about how big of a story he is or how someone's career is in jeopardy because they were wrong....it's simply people wanting to see things that aren't really there.
What other national media guy is publicly saying he doesn't think the Rams will extend Goff??? This is not about people who have doubts because they saw a few bad games, this is about someone actually thinking he won't be extended or won't be surprised if he isn't ...that's all.
Most of the doubters like it or not are the same people who were calling him a bust in his rookie year.
