Deadpool
He has small hands at 8 3/8" and can let the ball get into his body. He also has short arms at under 30". Since he is under 5'-9" this makes his catch radius tiny.
He is a jitterbug in his movements, but that can also carry over to his route running. He needs to quit wasting steps to create that sudden separation because that is how he is going to win.
Lastly, despite his 4.3 speed, he is not a deep threat due to his short strides.
So he fits a very small group of teams. He needs to work from the slot in an offense that emphasizes spacing, to get him the ball underneath and let him do his thing.
He competes like crazy, so I wouldn't count him out.
I can see the Hill comp, but Hill's 3cone was a 6.53 and Isabella's was 6.97. Hill is just that freaky. Oddly enough with the comp to Hill, KC would be a perfect fit for Isabella.
I think he goes somewhere between rounds 3 and 5. I have him as a 4th rounder.
Ok thanks for the feedback.
I'm intrigued by him so I've been doing research. You're more of an expert than me so I value your opinion but two things here I'm wondering why you say that.
You say he's not a deep threat but isn't that how he was used? PFF has him ranked #2 in the deep threat category and #1 in their Yards Per Route Run metric. His average reception was for 16.6 yards.
Are you saying that what he did in college won't translate?
From what I can tell, whether he is slot only or can also work the outside is where differences of opinion are on him. I'm seeing an abundance of both positions. Personally, I wouldn't be interested in him if he's slot only so this something I have to get sorted out in my mind.
