The more I think about it, the more I think the Rams just might look for an offensive weapon...... a difficult match-up for opponents.
Why? Because the Superbowl proved the Rams HAVE the D. To hold the Pats to such low totals right until the end of the game was impressive.
BUT...... it was an epic fail on the part of the offense. To only score 3 points is just unacceptable.
Therefore, when McVay talks about wanting explosive players, I think he means offense. The Rams might need a NT/DT; but they can probably get that FA for a pretty reasonable cost in another month or so.
Who might those explosive offensive players be? Don't know....... I'm not a draft guy. We also need to remember that the Rams were missing Kupp and he was a huge part of the offense.
About the only place I can see the explosive player is at TE. But also maybe RB similarly to the way NE uses its RBs.
But I think offense will be more focus that we think, especially since we have spent our major FA dollars on D.
