Thanks as always. I think you are right that unless a consensus Top 20-25 player is there at 31 that they will likely trade out. Maybe 5-12 spots.
It seems fan consensus is we prefer a trade down, but do you think Snead will be opposed to trading up for some of the great edge options?

Yeah I agree that it's possible that an edge fall to 31. But...sometimes they target a specific type of player. Maybe every edge doesn't fit what they want.
But hopefully one falls. I asked because I've been playing the drafting games, and nearly every simulation there is a run on edges and the last in the top tier are gone by around pick 25.
As for do we have to many needs to trade up, maybe but that's probably not a deterrent. First, free agency hasn't happened so who knows if that will be the case by draft day. Secondly, Snead doesn't think like the typical fan as evidenced by his unorthodoxed moves last year and prior years wheeling and dealing.
I don't think he's scared to trade up if there was a player he really liked.
