1) A tight spiral
2) An earlier release
3) A higher velocity, flatter pass.
Unfortunately it was a late, fluttering, floater.
And even with that....Cooks still could have caught it. He got both hands on it. A number of high quality WR's would have made that catch.
Small receivers tend to body catch the ball. That's the main reason I don't like them. Our coach used to tell us to use our hands and "tear the ball out of the air aggressively."
I like Brandin, but he is limited in that regard. If he's covered, he usually won't win against a CB.
