against the Cowboys on the ground.
And you get 3rd and 7 over and over, bad things happen. Punts is the least of the problems, as sack fumbles and game changing interceptions occur more often.
I am trying to remember a game where somebody has stuck with the running game when you were getting lots of 1 and 2 yard carries and won the game. Hard to remember because they are infrequent.
Dominate the line like the Cowboys is a bad example. The team put up a pair of 100 yard runners that game and should run because they kept moving the ball and getting first downs.
The Rams just beat the Saints because they gave up on the run.
Down 13-3, McVay said enough is enough and threw 5 straight passes and scored to make it 13-10 and after that change, the team proceeded to put up 23 points after being down 13-3.
Goff 40 passes
CJ 16 runs
Todd 4 runs
I am not saying you don't run at all, but a slight mix like the Saints game was perfect when the run is failing.
