Most of the talking heads thought that with OBJ back, a star rusher SB and adding Solder to the OL, that the Giants would be a halfway decent team capable of 8 or so wins.
To think you're going to get a top flight QB picking in the teens is rolling the dice and then placing your winnings (if there were any) on roulette.
I *think* that because it seems like there have been some good QB's come out the last 2-years that picking them is easier than it really is. Historically, more 1st round QB's fail, or are journeymen at best than succeed.
There are plenty of teams that have gone years without hitting on a QB, yet the assumption is that the Giants were going to hit on Barkley and then hit on a QB next year too.
There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
