This is somewhat all qualified by the fact that sooner or later the Giants will add a qb.
Either way that team was not set up for a rookie qb to have much success.
I don't think anyone is arguing that in the future you don't take a qb if you took an elite RB.
I think the assumption is, probably by next year they will have both.
Another team that did it that way was the Rams. Gurley first, then Goff.
Imagine if they took a qb in 2015. They probably couldn't have traded up for Mariota or Winston, but if they had, now they would have Mariota or Winston and no Gurley.
