I would re-examine.

But there are some serious doubters out there still. I don't put myself in the category of a serious doubter.

I put myself in a category of I liked Goff coming out, I liked Goff after a horrendous year 1, I liked Goff after a solid year 2.

And just because I like Goff, it doesn't mean he is "there".

Has he done 1-6? Well...doing it once doesn't mean he mastered them. To list them again...

1. Needs to operate more freely at the line of scrimmage. (McVay is part of that equation) - This was the whole call the play in the last 15 seconds routine...that defenses started figuring out.
2. Needs to see the field better...B&G posted frame and frame of this...missing wide open receivers and checking down.
3. Needs to throw receivers open...I saw little to no evidence of it.
4. Needs a better deep ball....he came up short on numerous occassions. Game time discussions pointed this out throughout the season.
5. Needs to run a better two minute drill...he may have run a couple good two minute drills but he is far from accomplished in this area...far.
6. Needs to show he can come up big in Q4 against the best competition...Who? And if he did...what....once? No...he needs improvement in this area.

Goff did a lot of things right...which I have stated. Expecting him to show improvement in these areas is no harsh...it anticipation of growth of a very young QB.

Oh, here's a doozy...I expect McVay to get better this year too! That should start a riot.
