I like Goff but he needs serious improvement to consider elite.

1. Needs to operate more freely at the line of scrimmage. (McVay is part of that equation)
2. Needs to see the field better.
3. Needs to throw receivers open.
4. Needs a better deep ball.
5. Needs to run a better two minute drill.
6. Needs to show he can come up big in Q4 against the best competition.

Goff has done a lot of good. The progression from year 1 and 2 was fantastic...although year 1 the OL about got him killed.

FWIW, I always liked Goff, even after year 1, when many, especially national media, were ready to call him a bust. I never gave up on him. I slightly preferred Goff over Wentz in the draft. I saw "flashes" (unlike Everett flashes) that made me think he just needed more support. So, I'm not coming from an anti-Goff position.

Goff doesn't make many mistakes and that is huge. I think he progresses this year but while you say he is all he is, he hasn't put up elite numbers and until he does, he is going to be viewed as a mid tier QB. That's a fact...not a feel.

Finally, anyone putting Goff in Rodgers territory at this time is not in reality IMO.
