No not at all, but I'm talking about the Montana's and Brady's that weren't as talented as Rodgers, but are probably consider better then Rodgers due to winning multiple Super Bowls.

I understand football is the ultimate team sport and it's not all on the QB, but if you want to be considered the best, you need to win rings. There is more to being a great QB then fantasy stats.

Goff was the 5th rated QB at 23 years old leading his team to the playoffs and scoring in his first year in new system. Rodgers was handing out water at that age and state in his career.

I don't like blanket statements claiming "Goff will never be Rodgers"

Comes across like Goff will never achieve what Rodgers has achieved....

Goff is already years ahead of where Rodgers was in his career and will only get better

I'm not a fan of blanket statements either but Rodgers is superior in skill and ability at the QB position over most other QB's. Granted, rings do matter but no one is arguing that Terry Bradshaw was "better" than Dan Marino.

I'm glad the Rams have a capable young QB but there is no shame in saying that Goff will never be Dan Marino. Goff may(hopefully) experience more team success but I think it's fair to say that Rodgers is on that next tier with few others. Guys like Marino and Rodgers are special talents. Guys like Eli and Goff are very capable and can lead a team. Maybe Goff becomes a special talent with how he manages the great situation that he's in but I don't think he's got the special combination of talent and ability that Rodgers has.
