I believe this: Donald will NOT get a new Rams contract at the numbers being reported. If there is to be a contract with the Rams it will be a) at the current rate this year, b) not average more than a bit over $19 mil (with the final year that brings the average number up, but is outside the guaranteed money so the Rams can trade him or release him for cap reasons), c) it is the guarantees that may set a record not counting QBs, and d) not less than 4 years, and likely 5, after this year.
Otherwise I just don't think the Rams are willing to put that much of their cap to any defensive lineman. Not even for a future HOFer.
