dz is saying there is a history of players with poor claims. Donald will not be in that boat.It's moot either way because even if this all stretches into 2019 and he is tagged, odds are he would hold out and demand a trade.
It's also moot as we've been saying because neither the :"DE" or "DT" categories apply to these negotiations .The Rams have made it abundantly clear that they will pay him in terms of an unofficial but real category---best defender. That's why discussions of his contract use Von Miller as a touchstone, in spite of the fact that Von Miller is not a DT and Donald is not a linebacker.
