OK...so, a couple of weeks back, Jason LaCanfora tweeted that AD had told some people close to him that he was anticipating a deal being done prior to camp. If this is true, then there'd have to be a reason for Donald to do this (i.e. a framework had been agreed to).

But the Rams have just completed their 1st week of camp and there's still no deal.

I'm not hating on AD's agent, but it's well-documented that he (the agent) sweats the details in rookie contracts (where the framework is already essentially established).

I have to wonder if his agent told him (a couple of weeks back) that a framework on an extension had been agreed to and that it'd take another couple of weeks to hammer out the details. But Todd France being "Todd France," he's driving a hard bargain on everything (again, not hating on it).

But I suspect that Donald sees the finish line here and wants this thing wrapped up.

The hourglass is a message for Mr. France.

Either that or his pizza delivery is late.
