I'm not talking about what Donald has done, I'm talking about him spending one year extra as a restricted free agent when he at the same same time he could be a unrestricted free agent. Do you think Donald has more leverage as a restricted free agent or as an unrestricted free agent?
I'll answer the obvious: unrestricted. That's on his agent.
Agents have a necessary role in all of this. It's a service that even Richard Sherman used in spite of negotiating his own contract. He clearly made use of his past contracts and studied others all supplied by agents.
I'm not getting caught up in position money-quarterback money, top defensive player money, punter money- so you probably are going to miss some points I make if you pigeon hole what I'm saying about salaries and what they are.
My whole focus is on the errors made by Donald's representation.
Again, it's huge that Donald did not accrue his year towards unrestricted free agency. You agree or disagree?
I know you are not asking me but I agree. I have enjoyed reading your posts about this 55. They are different than the others and are not repeating all the same things like in all the other threads\posts. Not sure how many times the same things have to be posted about this AD situation like posts about The offer was too low, 2nd contracts, previous contracts in comparison to other positions, etc have to be argued and counter argued about but no matter how many times they are posted...nothing changed. People are stuck on their own opinion regarding this and that won't change.
Bottom line is that we all would like AD to be a Ram for life. Whether or not that happens remains to be seen. It is getting tiresome reading the same arguments over and over and over again. Your take is a breath of fresh air. Thanks for your perspective!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
