I know that you’re a diehard AD fan, oldschool. Heck, who isn’t?
AD might be the best football player on the Rams.
But he isn’t the most valuable in terms of maximizing our win ratio. IMO, of course.
The following would be ahead of him if that were the criteria:
Goff
Whit
Gurley
Cooks/Woods
If I had to choose which player I would most hate to lose due to hypothetical extended ‘18 injury, I would have to say that I would sooner lose AD than any of those above 5 players. This is in terms of costing us more wins, mind you. A paradox, if you will.
I know that this is heresy for some, but I really would prioritize the above 5 ahead of AD in terms of likelihood of maximizing wins, which is the name of the game, right?
Look at it this way. I think we’re still a playoff team without AD. With AD we are a strong SB contender. Not sure that we are a playoff team without one of those other guys, certainly the top 3.
