We just don’t know much about how he ticks. He’s been more private than any other big name player in LA.
Never hear him say much of anything in support of any team mate.
He’s a Pittsburgh guy. His ultimate goal may be to get back there.
Donald will never be the face of the Rams. He’s just not that kind of guy.
And it’s not just the position. JJ Watt has done just fine in Houston.
I hope they sign him, he’s a great player, totally dedicated, but he’s got the charisma of a wet blanket.
In the absence of facts people make stuff up, leap to conclusions, fall for unwarranted assumptions.
So for example making the odd statement that maybe he wants to be in Pitts. (as opposed to playing next to Suh for Wade Phillips) is based on the completely unsupported idea THAT THE PROBLEM IS DONALD.
Anyone who assumes the problem is Donald has nothing real to base that on.
Anyone who assumes the problem is the Rams has nothing to base that on.
The fact that we have no real facts to base anything on, though, is just not going to prevent people from leaping to conclusions. It happens. That's how contract talk always goes. BUT it's not real. Not until we know some real facts, it isn't.
