I'm not sure I agree with that. Successful QB's are also hard to find. Of course as Fisher has demonstrated, multiple times, that you can put a avg/good QB in a system with poor coaching, poor play calling and either poorly coached surrounding players or simply bad players and that QB will not have success. But you put that same QB in a favorable situation and they excel. So to some degree I think an avg./good QB can be much more valuable than an elite RB.
Also kudos to Brooks for admitting his change of heart... but really? Hard to believe he didn't see the value in the elite RB's who excel in the passing game... smh
I do agree that players should be paid based on their value to the team... not by position. And that is why I place a higher value on Donald than most do.
Signing Gurley is going to be very interesting. There are just so many more variables to sign a RB due to age and wear and tear. Most RBs never get a payday. Elite RBs do but probably only one... Probably going to have to be OK with Gurley leaving if he wants a 2nd payday.
