I simply mentioned that once Brockers left the game how much did AD step up and dominate like the greatest defensive tackle ever that he's been labeled as by some on this board. In the 4th quarter when the game was on the line he did not rally the troops by his play like the greatest DT of all time.

I don't care that they ran away from AD. He didn't elevate his supporting cast (weak LB core or what ever excuses you want to add) He didn't make up for Brockers absence by his own personal performance nor did he cause a ripple down effect that had an impact on the outcome of the game that made the players around him better like the best ever are known to do..

I also mentioned that is was only one playoff game on his resume . I have my view and you have yours. I hope he signs a contract extension but I have my skepticism of how great he is for the long term big picture of the team based on his dollar amount and what looms in the Rams future for other existing players coming up for extensions. Obviously the Rams have a much better shot winning the Super Bowl with AD on the roster year. Everyone knows this hands down.

He dominated the first half of that game and as a result of that, and of Brockers being out, they ran the ball.

I didn't say anything about him dominating the first half. He needed to Big Brock in the game to dominate which was my point.

You need more than one DL to control the run, and you need ILBs too. As it happens if you look at the play by play for that game, the Falcons had more success running to their right, away from AD and toward Brockers's vacated spot, and did not have as much success running left, AD's side. They had one breakaway run to the left for 22 yards, but only 5 more runs there for 3 total yards. They ran to the right (right tackle and outside right) 9 times for 33 yards.So they dominated on the ground at that point by running away from AD.

So I don't see how you put that on AD. He can't be a one-man DL and the reason they came out in the 2nd half running (away from him) is because he had 10 qb pressures in the first half, and Brockers being out gave them a chance to do that.

Even if you were right about that (and as stated I don't think you are) I don't see how you downgrade the most productive DT in the league on the basis of half a game.

Either way my bet is, the Rams don't share that view.
