Either Vinny’s sources are good, or they’re not. Vinny is not the only one hinting at these things, btw.
I’ll say this. Vinny is a respected beat writer. Hardly a flame throwing blogger trying to get hits and establish a name for himself. Quite the contrary. His reputation rises or falls based upon his truth and accuracy.
So, I think he deserves some credit when he writes such a piece.
Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil....
Multiple reputable NFL Network reporters have also hinted the same.
But they're just anti-player pro management mouth pieces
Demoff's own words belie all that. You don't seem to ever confront that issue.
See no evil indeed.
And you have to be able to handle this argument, and address it head on, to really have a valid point. That is, until we actually know the numbers, we do not know if it is true that any offer to Donald is sufficiently good enough. For example if Demoff is correct, and they are trying to pay AD AMONG the top defenders, then an offer less than Von Miller's 2016 contract qualifies. The handful of reporters you heard on NFL net can SAY "it's a big offer" but unless we know the numbers we cannot judge if it's a valid real fair market value offer.
I don't see people adequately responding to that argument. It's like the old "opt out clause" mis-report. "Multiple people said it." No one guy speculated and others echoed him. Turns out now it doesn't even come up. But I was told that was "multiple reports."
So again--unless we actually know the numbers, any claim from SOME reporters (ie. the small fraction of them you saw on a NFL.net show) that the offer is big can't be tested as real. They could think it's big, when in reality, it's not.
I am sincerely asking for a legit response to that.
