If Tay cant be developed into a a true WR he has no business taking those touches.
Look he breaks plays. That's the whole point and yes he does that well. And the defense goes out of his way to account for him because of it. Why do they do that if they have nothing to fear? Then with that kind of attention, you can set him from any point in the formation for either a run or pass (or as a decoy), which adds deception to the offense.
I just don't see him ever being developed into a pure WR. He doesn't have all the pre-reqs to do that. And I was saying that before they drafted him.
The only issue is if McVay wants to work with what Tavon gives you, or not. He didn't draft Tavon, and he might not be interested. I was saying that
last off-season.
