Zack you misread my post. I am suggesting that Cooks can run all the WR gadget plays, and will cause defenses the same problems as Tay. I am also saying he will be more effective doing so as he is a bigger threat with the same speed and ability to catch.
Similarly, I am saying that I would rather draft a developmental RB or give Davis those 3-4 touches in the backfield than to give a roster spot to Tay for 3-4 carries.
Lastly, for all his flash, Tay still has ball security issues which negates any positives in my view.

If you have one guy doing all those things there's 2 advantages. One is, you don't know which one he will do when he's on the field. You lose that by dividing the role. And in fact that's one thing that makes him valuable--because he can break a play running the ball or catching it in space, he's also a very effective decoy.
You lose all of that if you go to the more ordinary thing where a back does some of it and a receiver does some of it.
