By that I mean Snead, McVay, and Goff.
The three critical legs of the stool are now in place with those three. And they’re all young, plus two have no effect on the cap.
Yeah, they must keep a core of good to great players together, but they know that. More importantly, they can and will do that.
Some desirable players will have to be allowed to walk from time to time, such as possibly Joyner next year, due to that danged cap thing. But good talent evals and excellent coaching will allow them to find replacements and to carry on indefinitely. The elite type 6-8 players will still be with us over the years.
Ram fans are not accustomed to continuous good talent being brought in, nor outstanding coaching, not to mention good QB play since Bulger, at least. Well, the planets finally have lined up for Ram fans and I could see the Rams in annual playoff contention until at least Goff retires.
Honestly, I don’t think that that is an overstatement.
