I have never thought he was great, in the terms of Merlin, Mean Joe, Randy White, Lilly, Alan Page or even a Sapp and maybe a couple of others. I said he's been good, even very good in a few areas. In terms of inside rush, he's a "blue" but in terms of taking on double teams, he's always had trouble.
While I intake as much info as I can, and that includes PFF, I don't just accept their grades. The people who do those grades are not all that great.
So, if you are relying on that, no sale.
Further, the peak of his career was 2014 or so, and that is when there could be an argument that he was "great" that's three years ago.
So we can disagree with what "great" really means. To me, it's someone who does all things well, and is separate and above others at his position, like Aaron Donald, like Marshall Faulk, Warner, etc. To me it is more than All-Pro or Pro Bowl, that, to me, is good (Pro Bowl) or very good (All-Pro)
Now, again, this is NOT the Suh of 2014 or 2015. He's on the decline. He's not a high character guy, Cowherd said he's heard, and everyone knows, Suh does not like to practice. He's is not a 100% effort guy. That is evident on film.
You are severely overrating him.
