So now we’ve gotta specify FA vs draft pick, Rock? Wasn’t tough enough already? Lol.
Here’s the way I see things falling...
There will be very possibly 6 new starters on D this year. Yeah, maybe six.
Since FA occurs before the draft, I see them filling needs via FA with players that could be legit starters but that are not prohibitively expensive. Players like Webster, Barwin, and NRC from just last year. Good enough to start, if need be, but could be superseded if certain other players fall to them in the draft.
So, here are the positions that, one way or another, I see having new faces as starters:
NT
OLB (possibly 2)
ILB (Tree moves to Barron’s old spot, btw)
Outside CB (MP already here)
Other outside CB
As to FA or draft pick, much less specific names? Might as well try to pick the Lotto numbers. Lol.
But I stand by my prediction of 5, maybe 6, new D starters this year. Bet Wade feels like a kid waiting for Christmas...
