One thing an offense always has to account for with Foles is that he's just slow footed and slow in his throwing motion too. But if you have a good OL you can factor that in.

...

That is the biggest issue with Foles, IMO. And yes, with a good OL that issue is minimized. The question is, if you provide Foles with a good OL can he be a starting QB.

In STL, Foles had a bad OL, and bad coaching. A double whammy that maximized his flaws. I think his flaws are magnified with a bad OL beyond those of most other QBs. I think we need to see him with a good OL and good coaching for a full season now that he is a more mature QB before we know the answer for sure. Here again, this is just my opinion. I just need to see more because he look so darn good in the playoffs when it matters most.

I agree with some of that, but not all. People like their "had bad coaching" mantra. As usual it;s too simple and ignores too much. Fact is Keenum came in in 2015 with the same personnel and same offense and did better than Foles did in his meltdown mode.

In Foles's last 4 games he was 80 of 150 (53%) for 4.9 per attempt with 0 TDs and 4 INTs and an avg. qb rating of 53.7...and the Rams went 0-4 with an avg of 10 points per game.

In his last 4 games with the same offense and the same personnel Keenum was 64 of 99 (64.6%) for 7.0 per attempt with 3 TDs, I Int, and an avg,. qb rating of 90.8....and the Rams went 3-1 with an avg.of 22.75 points per game.

And the OL was playing well enough at the end of the year that it was normal for people to predict it would be fine in 2016 though it is true that that OL suffered multiple injuries mid-season, when Foles was playing.

...

..

I don't think it can be done that way. Keenum and Foles are 2 different types. They react differently to the same set of circumstances.

It's quite possible that if Keenum were on the Eagles he would not have the same success as Foles did. They have different strengths and weaknesses. Foles range is probably much broader than Keenum's. On the Rams, it quite possible that Foles weaknesses were exacerbated by the coaching more than Keenum's were.
