I disagree with so much here not quite sure where to start.
So I will just say this.
Reich and Pederson during the bye went in and looked at Foles first season in Chip Kelly's offense and pulled several of the concepts from his offense.
What they did for Foles is create a comfortable environment that took advantage of what he did well.Foles had lost his confidence because he was a fish out of water in a traditional pro offense..So what they did was accentuate what he liked and did well...and then gassed him up which lifted his confidence. We will see how that plays out when he leaves Philly.
But the real false narrative is that Philly brought in receiver(s) by design that were adept at catching Wentz not so accurate long balls.
That's the fish story...the fish gets bigger every time the story is told.
The only receiver the Eagles brought in for that reason is Alshon.
T. Smith certainly wasn't he has never been known for his hands, is NOT a jump ball receiver and led the team in drops.
Smith was brought in to stretch the field period, he has never been a hands guy.Ertz and Nelson were already on the team
So there is no receiver(s) there is one Alshon who was brought in as a jump ball receiver.
And look at the qb's accuracy in 31-40 yards range, its among the highest in the league.
Best,
Laram
