Not looking forward to this because for me the NFL has been an escape from the realities of the world as it is. Unfortunately, as the player protests tell us, the NFL (and the entertainment industry in general) is no longer an escape but rather a stark reflection and reminder of the division that has gripped not just American society but the entire globe.

Problem today is people feeling they are being disrespected before they have accomplished anything. The Golden Rule is to treat people like they want to be treated, but in today's society if you don't agree with me on certain subject matters, you are an enemy. IMO, the NFL has become a microcosm of society and has forgotten it's just a sport...The next CBA seems like it is going to be ugly and if so, the NFL might never recover IMHO especially if there is no Super Bowl.
