I believe the Rams are now a system or scheme team similar to the 80's 49 er's. I love the way McVay and Goff communicate and it is only going to get better, but Goff is replaceable, I think Case or Foles or SB would have done just as well in this offense with these players. The only player whose stats we could not replicate was AD, he is the most disruptive defensive player in the game.
I both agree and disagree with your assertion that 'Goff is replaceable.' That's a really bold statement BTW and one that really made me think.
I believe that the
current Goff - the one we saw this year - is replaceable by a Keenum or Foles. We are seeing that Keenum and Foles with the right coach and scheme are pretty good players.
I disagree in the sense that Goff's ceiling is much higher than Keenum and Foles. I believe that Goff will get to a point where - like AD - we can say that not many players can replicate what he's doing. And having that player under McVay's influence and in his scheme will be a scary thing for the league.
Future Goff is not replaceable IMO.
