If the Rams lose vs the Falcons, it will NOT be because McVay rested 18 starters.
I mean, that’s not only illogical, but it’s kinda silly.
Logically, resting starters should enhance their readiness to face the Falcons.
Win or lose, I’m giving McVay a pass on that decision.
To begin with, McVay earned a "pass" from me long ago. This is all gravy, but that doesn't mean he can't make a mistake either. If he does you hope he learns from it and thank him for being as awesome as he was this year.
But if the Rams don't play well and lose a game in which they are clear favorites and have no excuse to lose for the first time this season, what else can you possibly attribute it to? The number one likelihood would be because he introduced something different into the previously successful process. We know what that is.
It would only be logical to conclude that. It would be illogical to conclude it couldn't possibly be the only thing that changed.
