Those guys in particular needed the rest. Never complain, always go out there, and their backups are serviceable but not the same when replaced. Giving them rest means that Gurley and Goff had to take off too, and it all snowballs from there.
So how important was the OL to the Rams' success this year? If both lines come out flat next week, it backfired. But I don't see that with McVay and this team in tune. We lost to the Whiners due to both lines getting beat.
With Troy Hill in concussion protocol - that's the biggest concern right now. Sure Peterson got two picks but I remember him getting roasted in previous games. Big drop off from Hill to Peterson IMHO. The short week will help us too - Atlanta played a tough game and now have to come out West while losing a day from their normal schedule.
