I still have serious misgivings about the transactions to acquire Jared
You know how some plays just never wear off. Warner to Bruce. Flipper Anderson's big night, etc ??
There's bad plays that just can't seem to dim. Bulger's interception in a playoff game. Jason Sehorn beat deep by Steve Smith in double overtime.
it was Jared's terrible play in his first snap ever in that preseason game last year that left me dry.
the kid's composure
yes, he showed some other moments that were heartening.
but.....
back to Saguaro's comments. There's nothing I can say about what they might have done given their dilemma last year. Looking back at the draft class I had guys I liked. Kessler.......who played ok with spot work last year, and is already showing signs of being run off the road by Kizer; who sounds like he has brains and physique.
and if Goff fails? Cousins will finally be free. To me, the coach would lean that way over starting fresh through the draft. The owner may see it a lot different.
But......in the end I'll yield
Between a franchise move, the owner, the talent on the roster at the time, and desperation?
busting the move still makes sense.
